He serves as the Faculty Advisor of ARIES. He is an Associate Professor at IIT Delhi where he leads research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Network Science.
He completed his Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur and has published extensively in top-tier AI and data science venues. His work focuses on real-world challenges such as misinformation detection, social behavior analysis, and large-scale language understanding. He also serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE).
As the guiding academic force behind ARIES, Prof. Chakraborty brings deep research expertise, mentorship, and strategic vision — helping shape the club's growth as a hub for impactful AI and ML exploration.
